Crunchy Asparagus Fries

A crunchy addition to dinner without the calories of deep frying.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) package frozen Pictsweet Farms Asparagus Spears
  • parchment paper
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Itailan bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

  1. PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Steam frozen asparagus according to package directions and drain.
  2. PLACE parchment paper on baking sheet. Prepare 3 containers for the breading process. 1st bowl contains flour, 2nd bowl contains salt and eggs and 3rd bowl contains bread crumbs and cheese.
  3. DIP each piece of asparagus in each bowl and place on baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. BAKE 5 minutes, turn spears and cook for 7 minutes until spears reach a golden brown color.
