Directions
- MELT butter in a large saucepan. Sauté frozen pepper blend until onions become translucent. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- ADD broth, thyme and cayenne pepper and bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- PURÉE in blender until smooth. Mix 1 cup of purée with half and half to temper and add back to food processor. Pulse to blend well.
- RETURN to saucepan and heat slowly until mixture begins to thicken.

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 oz.) can vegetable broth

- 1 cup half and half
- salt to taste
