Directions
- PLACE frozen squash and onions in a saucepan, cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes, drain and mash. Drain again.
- COMBINE squash blend, egg, buttermilk, flour, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- HEAT oil to 325°F. Drop teaspoons of squash mixture into oil and cook until golden brown. Drain and serve.

- 1/2 cup buttermilk
