Spicy Brussels Sprouts Au Gratin

  1. PREHEAT oven to broil. Prepare frozen Brussels sprouts according to package directions and drain.
  2. MELT butter in a small saucepan. Sauté frozen onions until translucent.
  3. ADD half and half, flour and red pepper flakes and whisk together. Reduce heat and stir until mixture begins to thicken.
  4. REMOVE from heat, add cheese and stir until melted. Stir in sprouts to coat.
  5. POUR into a greased casserole dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and place under broiler for 3-5 minutes until top is slightly brown.
