Holiday Glazed Carrots

Apricot preserves give a great taste for many dishes. It is especially good with carrots.


  • 2 (12 oz.) packages frozen Pictsweet Farms Sliced Carrots
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup apricot preserves
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • Fresh lemon juice to taste


Place carrots in saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes and drain. Heat and strain apricot preserves. In a skillet, melt butter and stir in preserves liquid, nutmeg, pepper, orange zest and lemon juice to taste. Cook until glaze consistency. Add carrots to pan and coat with apricot glaze.
