Fancy Green Beans with Cashews

Cashews give both flavor and texture to this dish.



Place green beans in a saucepan and cover with water. Add lemon juice and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, drain and set aside. In a skillet, cook bacon until very crisp; crumble and set aside. Sauté the pepper and onion strips in the hot bacon grease for 2 minutes or until onions become translucent. Add the beans, cashews, and bacon to the skillet. Mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey, and lemon juice. Add the teriyaki-honey sauce to the bean mixture and toss gently.
